Welcome to the first of three character spotlights for Star Hunter DX! First off is Luna, the game’s primary protagonist (though we’re not sure we can quite call her a “good guy”) and the pilot you’ll begin the game with.

Luna Starr was once captain of The Vipers, the galaxy’s most fearsome Space Pirate gang – that is, until she was betrayed by her crew and left for dead after the largest gold heist in history. Luckily for her, she was found by the mysterious pilot Edgar and brought back from the brink of death. Now, with her mutinous mates having fled to the furthest corners of space, she tracks them down as a bounty hunter on an intergalactic quest for revenge. Bold, brave and bent on retribution, Luna won’t stop until she’s taken down every last one of them.

Luna is joined aboard her trusty Hawk DX-7 ship by her faithful companion and maintenance droid CAT-99, whose expertise in ship combat helps guide new pilots towards victory. The Hawk DX-7 is equipped with medium attack width, power and ship movement for precise dodging, making Luna the perfect starter character in your mission for your treacherous crewmates’ submission.

Recognisable by her navy bob and collared catsuit, Luna’s design harks back to retro sci-fi TV shows, with 1CC Games having been inspired by ‘70s series such as ‘Battle of the Planets’, ‘Buck Rogers in the 25th Century’, and ‘UFO’.

Star Hunter DX will be released in Summer 2021 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
