Now that we’ve met the daring and dangerous Luna Starr, it’s time to get to know her trusty maintenance droid and computer companion, CAT-99!

With loyalty in their programming, CAT-99 tracks The Vipers across the farthest reaches of the galaxy, using their skills in spaceship engineering to modify Luna’s Hawk DX-7 into the CV1000-D and initiate their own quest for payback!

CAT-99’s duties don’t end at becoming a playable character; they have been designated to show you the ropes when it comes to conquering the cosmos in compelling combat! Their mission: to teach new and old shoot-‘em-up players alike how to dip, dodge and destroy to get the highest possible score. When they’re not operating Luna’s base of command, they can be found in the Practice levels, eager to lend a helping paw!

1CC Games designed CAT-99’s ship, the CV1000-D, for players new to bullet hell games. While slower than the other fighter craft available, it has a powerful homing shot that will curve towards enemies, allowing pilots to focus on dodging enemy projectiles. CAT-99’s distinctive design was based on robots from classic sci-fi TV shows and films such as ‘Space Sentinels’, ‘Silent Running’ and ‘Buck Rogers in the 25th Century’!
